STIGA Titan Review

The Stiga Titan table tennis racket is a very popular racket for a reason: It’s inexpensive and offers a great set of features overall for any racket in this price range. Very few rackets at this price offer a really solid construction, great rubber, and a blade of this quality. The paddle is very lightweight, which can be a good thing for beginner and intermediate players that haven’t yet used a heavy paddle before.

The Triumph rubber on each side of the blade is impressive. It gives the player the great ability to generate lot of spin both in defensive and more offensive strokes. Its sponge could be better, and this, along with the blade could make this paddle a bit slower than other more expensive paddles. But for players that are still learning the game and want a big step up in quality this racket is a great choice.

This paddle is approved by the ITTF so it’s tournament ready.

  • 5-ply Extra Light Blade, 2mm Sponge, Concave Italian Composite Handle
  • Performance Ratings- Speed: 80 Spin: 77 Control: 82
  • Crystal Technology Hardens Blade for Increased Speed
  • Performance-Level Table Tennis Racket
  • ITTF Approved Inverted Tournament Rubber

The Stiga Titan is a great intermediate or beginner racket that can offer a great mix of control and spin that is unrivaled for any other racket in this price range. It’s a very good value and has all the right qualities where it really counts. The handle is very comfortable and the paddle in general has a nice quality feel to it. It does however, lack a bit on delivering speed through the ball for fast offensive shots. This is something that, even at the intermediate level, players should not be focusing on. This paddle allows players to develop their ability to place the ball where they want to and generate spin with defensive and offensive strokes.
